As a member of the Board for The Trust for Sustainable Development, Tom brings his years of experience in sustainability and development together with an international pool of experts whose combined expertise assists the Trust in obtaining the highest practical standards of sustainable development. The guidance and information provided by the board of distinguished, practicing professionals is considered one of the most valuable resources available to the Trust. The Trust for Sustainable Development is an inter-disciplinary group of professionals committed to envisioning, designing and building sustainable communities.
Ocean Alliance
Ocean Alliance was founded in 1971 by biologist Roger Payne. Led by Dr. Payne and CEO, Iain Kerr, Ocean Alliance collects a broad spectrum of data on whales and ocean life relating particularly to toxicology, behavior, bioacoustics, and genetics. From that data Ocean Alliance works with its scientific partners to advise educators and policy makers on wise stewardship of the oceans to: reduce pollution, prevent the collapse of marine mammal populations, maintain human access to fish and other sea life, and promote ocean and human health. Tom is a proud board member of Ocean Alliance.
