Thank you for visiting my website! I hope you will find my work interesting, or better yet, inspiring!

From an early age, I have been passionate about conservation, clean energy, and sustainable technologies. I’m a hopeless gadgeteer and tinkerer. As a kid I helped in our home garden, growing organic vegetables on the rural Maine farm where I spent many summers.  I worked at the family wood stove (import) business, learning the basics of marketing from my mom and took pride in my dads work as an estuary biologist, professor, and researcher.

I spent my childhood surrounded by graduate students at a marine research facility in rural North Carolina, participating in research expeditions out onto Pamlico Sound to assess the marine impacts of a local mining operation. It was fun, exciting, and I think in many ways extraordinary.

As a result of these and many other influences, the idea that “good businesses” could not only be successful but out compete destructive enterprise became my professional passion.
